New Gadgets For Pets

December 15, 2021

Season’s Greetings! It’s December, which, for many of us means, it’s time to start holiday shopping. And remember to pick up something for your pet! Toys and treats are classic options and are always a safe bet. But, if you want to get your furry friend something more modern, keep reading! A vet lists some gadgets for pets in this article.

Camera/Treat Dispenser

Not too many things are cuter than watching Fido get excited over a treat. Now, these adorable moments can be enjoyed wherever you are, even from the office! The Furbo is a camera/treat dispenser that will no doubt help keep your puppy’s tail wagging when you’re out. They even have barking sensors that alert you when your pooch is speaking up. (This can be helpful for people whose dogs vocalize a lot when they are out.)

Remote Laser Pointer

Are laser pointers a favorite toy for your dog or cat? If so, this may be a great option. You can now buy laser pointers that can be controlled using a camera and app remote device. Who wouldn’t want to play with their pet on their lunch break?

GPS Trackers

One of the best things the technology sector has created in the last few decades are GPS systems. And many people would be, quite literally, lost without them! These can also be great for tracking down runaway dogs. With several brands to choose from, you’ll want to do some research before buying. Look at things like reviews, battery life, range, and subscription requirements.

Feeder Bowls

It’s hard to believe that feeding Fluffy and Fido has changed very much over the years, but it has. You can now choose from several types of specialty bowls for your pet. Some are designed to be set at specific heights or angles so your furry pal digests his food better, while others help keep pets from eating too quickly. Ask your vet for recommendations.

Cat Backpacks

Do you have an indoor cat that longs for the outdoors? Do you and your kitty love adventure? Now, you can carry Fluffy on your back in a pack when you go biking or hiking. Fluffy will also be able to see out through a little porthole on the back. (Note: not all cats are going to enjoy this. Results may vary.)
