Claudia B.2017-04-10 Charlotte is happy to be there! Vaccine day but she did great! Thanks Clyde's Animal Clinic! Wyatt W.2017-02-02 I take both of my dogs to clydes and both love the entire staff. Staff members remember my dogs and are always very polite and professional! Our 7 month old puppy even gets excited as soon as we get close to the vet, I couldnt think of anywhere better to take my dogs!!! Rebecca M.2013-06-01 I stayed @ the Fox Ridge State Park over Memorial Day weekend. My husband and I decided to board 2 of our 3 dogs nearby with the hope that we would be able to visit, take them hiking all together and introduce them to camping. Our dogs are all vocal hounds. When we walked in, the beagle got his bay on, and my larger babies got to cry-barking to visit with all the other dogs. The ladies handled the noise with calm assertiveness, and even directed us to the calmer cat waiting area (they have separate waiting areas!) to help keep my dogs calm (and quiet). I had concerns about Toby jumping out of his outdoor confines. Not an issue. The dog run is covered. I worried about them being chilly at night, but the clinic offers a fleece(?) blanket in each kennel. I was able to board both my dogs together to help alleviate any of their stress. They took care of any shots/tests the dogs needed to be boarded for a decent price (compared to Chicago prices). They also asked for a protocol before I left my dogs. Should they simply do what needs to be done, or should the call me first for approval? As this was the first time I have ever boarded my dogs, I was nervous and felt guilty. I brought a tote full of items for 2 of my dogs, to make sure they were busy and felt safe. I felt foolish having brought so many toys, chews, treats and...so much peanut butter, but the caregiver didn't even raise an eyebrow at me. The first day of hiking, we retrieved both dogs for 8 hours of hiking, fishing and relaxing at our site. They were EXCITED to go back into the kennel! I was calmed right then. All of my dogs are rescues, and one has a problem with kennels. Because he was allowed to stay with his pack-mate, and because the workers here were so attentive, he was kept happy. When we picked up our pups, on Memorial Day (they had 2 pick up/drop off times) they had even washed our towel, which we provided, lest my pups decide that they like to eat fleece. They also filled some of the toys/bones with peanut butter several times. I had a nearly-empty jar left (over 4 days). The employees are so professional, detail-oriented as well as kind and understanding. They could tell me about interest in eating, bowel movements and behavior in- and outdoors. This is THE kennel of the Charleston/Mattoon area. The staff really work to treat your pets like they're their own. And if I can say that, given my dogs' whiney, talky, howly, piercing voices, you will love this place, and so will your pets!
